New Challenges in a Newish Home

We recently purchased my childhood home! My parents were downsizing and I couldn’t bare to see the house I grew up in go on the market. Located in charming New Hope, PA, we are now closer to friends and family as well as our beloved family beach house in Avalon! The house was built in 1994 and despite a few major updates, a lot of the classic nods to the 90s still exist. Brass hardware and fixtures, arched windows, dark wood cabinetry and even pink toilets. Oh and can’t forget wallpaper in almost every single room. These before photos will always hold a special place in my heart because it was where so many memories were made. Now I have the challenge of keeping the integrity of certain spaces while adding in my own touch. We have decided to use a portion of the furniture from our old house, sell the rest and buy some new. My style has evolved over the years, moving away from farmhouse and more into an eclectic mix of old and new with a bit of coastal mixed in. I love mixing high and low end furniture. My newfound hobby is Facebook Marketplace… selling and buying. And my love affair with Homegoods will never die. There is a nearby shopping center with TJMaxx, Homegoods & Homesense!!! Oh and the antique stores in New Hope are dangerous.
